Crying Out Loud is a Toronto-based gift shop that (said best in their own words) “thoughtfully curates products that promote self-care and the care of others”. Studio Millie has been working with the COL team over the past couple of months to help amplify their brand by auditing and tightening their visual identity, creating a seamless and purposeful online experience, and creating several social media strategies and campaigns.

With one brick and mortar location in east Toronto, Crying Out Loud had goals to expand the community they served by making their online presence more robust, and more reflective of the instore experience. The most important experience to translate from store to online shop, was the element of support and curation that COL offers.
During our site audit, we looked at how their site could be improved visually, as well as structurally. We helped define categories, experiences and styles that has lead to an easier, and more thoughtful shopping experience.

Holidays can be rough for anyone. Knowing how to support someone or find a gift for someone going through something tough can be rough as well. Because Crying Out Loud know best how to show love when it’s hardest, we’ve created several campaigns to help amplify Crying Out Loud during the holidays.
Our campaigns have ranged in content from General Awareness, to Winter Holidays, to Valentine’s Day. We always look to communicate the wit, kindness and practicality of COL’s offerings.
