  • After more than 70 years as a Toronto institution, VegTO (formerly the Toronto Vegetarian Association) was ready for a full rebrand. With the evolution of their name came the opportunity to position themselves as a fully vegan organisation that is supportive, inclusive and kind no matter where you’re at on your plant-based journey. We were thrilled to take on the challenge.

The concept centres itself around the idea of advocacy, and action, while maintaining a positive attitude and welcoming disposition. It feels purposeful, cool, and encouraging.

The palette is bright and bold, with maturity in the greens and an ebullient youth in the neon yellow and pink. Paired with type inspired by protest posters (see more work by the excellent Vocal Type Foundery), an organic stampy logomark and an illustration style that is equal parts empowering and playful, the finished product is vibrant, youthful and bursting with joy.

We carried the new aesthetic and voice across everything from a full festival rebrand, web rebuild, and delightful merch, bringing this storied organisation into the present.

Thanks Sarah, Kimberly and the whole VegTO team.
